Always active in their Church and neighborhood community, they were also very involved in Scouting and youth sports. Michael and his family enjoy the many rich traditions of life in Northeast Florida.
Legal Excellence and Business Leadership
Michael Kirwan built a distinguished 37-year legal career, including the last 20 years as a partner at Foley & Lardner, one of the nation’s premier law firms, where he advised businesses on complex securities, acquisitions, and corporate governance matters. His expertise spans from guiding startup companies through venture capital rounds to representing Fortune 500 companies in billion-dollar transactions on the NYSE and NASDAQ. Michael has served as counsel for over $25 billion in public offerings and helped raise billions of dollars for real estate funds that create jobs and housing opportunities. His legal acumen extends beyond transactions, he served on the board and as President of the local chapter for the Association for Corporate Growth which encourages economic growth and business transactions in Northeast Florida. In addition, he also helped to draft Jacksonville’s ethics code and served as chairman of the Jacksonville’s Ethics Commission, ensuring transparency and accountability in local government. He understands that good jobs, lower costs, and honest government aren’t just campaign promises, they’re achievable goals that require serious leadership and practical solutions. Michael is running for Congress because Northeast Florida families deserve a representative who will fight Wall Street driving up housing costs, close corporate tax loopholes, and bring the same transparency and accountability to Washington that he brought to our community.

“
