Meet Michael
Michael Kirwan is a lawyer who believes Washington needs fewer career politicians and more leaders who have seen firsthand how the system really works—and how it too often leaves everyday people behind. After nearly four decades as a securities attorney, Michael has seen how the rules are written for big corporations, but don’t always work for small businesses, working families, or young people just starting out. That experience inspired him to step away from his law practice and run for Congress, determined to make government fairer, more transparent, and more accountable to the people it serves.
Raised in Jacksonville, Michael’s outlook was shaped by honest conversations with his father about integrity, fairness, and responsibility. Those lessons carried him from student government in high school to Duke University, Harvard Law School, and ultimately to leadership roles at major law firms and a technology start-up. Along the way, he learned that solving problems requires listening first, speaking honestly, and finding common ground.
“
Michael has my full endorsement because he’s a leader with a track record of solving problems, not just talking about them. His financial expertise and deep community roots prove he’s ready to tackle rising costs and bring real accountability to Washington. He’s the only candidate who has the skills, the integrity, and the commitment to give every family a fair shot.
– State Senator Tracie Davis

NATURAL LEADERSHIP
Michael’s vision for Northeast Florida is rooted in his extensive experience as a respected business leader and community advocate. As a partner at a national law firm, he has spent decades counseling major companies on complex financial issues, including corporate governance, mergers, and acquisitions. His professional background has given him an intimate understanding of how the economy works and how it can be fixed to benefit everyone, not just a few.
Michael’s career is a blueprint for the leadership he’ll bring to Congress. As a former chairman of the City of Jacksonville’s Ethics Commission, he has a proven record of fighting for accountability and transparency in government. Beyond his professional life, his deep community involvement shows he is a consensus builder dedicated to serving Northeast Florida. Michael is a leader with a track record of delivering results, not empty promises. His unique blend of private-sector experience and public service commitment makes him the best choice to fight for a fair shot for every family in Northeast Florida.

Michael Kirwan is a Democrat running for Congress in Florida’s 4th District to fight for working families.
I was honored to take part in the Rapid Response Protest in Fernandina Beach to advocate for against inhumane and illegal immigration policies of the current administration. We need to secure our borders, but we need to treat immigrants with respect and dignity.
Thank you, @nassauyoungdems, for recording this powerful event.

Happy 4th of July! Our nation is celebrating 250 years - what a remarkable stretch of time! We are so fortunate to have such a remarkable country. We talk a lot about our problems but we do it from a sense of love and a desire to improve this great nation of ours. This 4th of July, as we celebrate our country, we can't forget how this country was truly built and defended. When I'm elected to Congress, we're going to continue to focus on how to make the country better. But we're going to do it from a place of love and respect for what we have enjoyed and built as a people. Happy 4th!

You know those members of Congress who take extreme positions that are cringeworthy? Unfortunately it’s now our turn to experience such embarrassment thanks to Aaron Bean. His buffoonery has evolved into forming the DOGE caucus in the House and now he voted against legislation that would lower the cost of our housing. We need solutions and less politics. That’s why I’m running for Congress.

You may have heard our government has a $7 trillion budget, yet we can't maintain a pool in Washington. If you know the name of a good pool guy, please put it in the comments below, and I'll be sure to pass it along to our friends in Washington. We need more solutions and less politics! Vote Kirwan.

You know why Aaron Bean voted against the housing legislation that passed in Congress in bipartisan fashion? It's because Aaron Bean supports landlords against homeowners. He wants everyone to perpetually be a renter. He needs to go. We need more solutions and less politics.
